Do Your Peoples’ Capability Are Paid Inline With Job Worth

Capability is a measure of the person’s ability (capacity) to deliver results. It is independent of the position the person is currently holding, whether high or low, because a highly capable individual can be assigned to a lower position or vice versa.
Employees are hired usually based on an assessment of capability, and salary is appropriately determined based on capability relative to the job size. Further, employees are usually promoted based on an assessment of the person’s ability to produce results (capability).
To What Extend ICC Measures Person Capability
The key indicator used when assessing capability is usually track record – the person’s career track within the company or throughout the person’s career. As a result, capability is also referred to as career level. For example, a person who achieves career progression to the level of Senior Manager in a large and well-managed organization has demonstrated capability/ability for that level of accountability.
It is inconceivable that such a senior professional will be motivated to work in an entry level position again. Such a person would aspire to be a General Manager or a Chief Executive Officer depending on the size of the position and whether the position is within the same industry (technical skills) or the position requires new knowledge of a different field.
