Making the Right Hiring or Promotion Decision
The Challenge
Time and time again is had been shown that the roles of leaders and managers require a certain drive for achieving results through others.
Reality has often been that while a candidate may have outstanding qualifications and/or performance track record working under supervision, he and she may not so perform as effectively, or even under-perform, when brought or elevated into the role of a leader or manager.
This then begs the question:
When recruiting or promoting into leadership and managerial positions, just how do you evaluate whether a candidate possesses the expected level of drive to achieve desired results for the organisation?
